Tracey Rembert is responsible for active ownership strategies at CBIS, where she works with the Catholic Responsible Investments team to implement CBIS’ focus on engagement with boards, corporate management, regulators, and fellow investors on robust environmental, human rights, and corporate governance policies and practices worldwide. Ms. Rembert joined CBIS in 2016 and has 19 years of experience in shareholder engagement, with a successful track record of both U.S. and international engagement on a range of sustainability issues, including climate change, human rights, worker rights and safety, and governance. Before her role at CBIS, Tracey served as director of Investor Programs at Ceres, where she mobilised institutional investors to accelerate their sustainable investment practices. She also previously worked at US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment as head of its Shareholder Action Network, and at the Service Employees International Union and at Pax World Funds, where she coordinated shareholder engagement at each. She has authored several guides on shareholder advocacy, including 21st Century Engagement, which she co-published with BlackRock in 2015. She has recently launched a multi-country investor coalition focused on improving corporate practices to protect children from online sexual exploitation.
