HIGH LEVEL MEETING ON CHILD DIGNITY IN THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ERA, NOVEMBER 12-13, ROME

A High-Level Meeting on Child Dignity in the Artificial Intelligence Era was held on 12 November 2025 at the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, followed by a private audience with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. This significant gathering was convened by Fondazione Child ETS, in collaboration with the Child Dignity Alliance, with the purpose of addressing urgent and universal concerns regarding the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the dignity and rights of children.

“Governments and international organizations have a responsibility to design and implement policies that protect the dignity of minors in this era of AI. This includes updating existing data protection laws to address new challenges posed by emerging technologies, and promoting ethical standards for the development and the use of AI.” - Pope Leo XIV

THE Child Dignity Alliance is dedicated to eradicating the online sexual exploitation and abuse of children globally. The Alliance believes that each child is precious and deserves the right to safety, dignity and protection online.

The alliance was formed to educate political, religious and business leaders about the severity and extent of the abuse and exploitation of the world’s children and young people; and to demand action from those who can instigate change.

We believe that achieving this relies on a cooperative global effort between government, law enforcement, technology companies and religious organisations.
