Rabbi Diana S. Gerson

Rabbi Diana S. Gerson serves as the Associate Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis, where, for over 20 years, she has advanced the organization's leadership in confronting family violence, sexual abuse, and the exploitation of children by building partnerships across faith communities.

Her work is deeply rooted in promoting child dignity and protecting children from online and offline exploitation. She is the Senior Advisor for Partnerships and External Relationships for the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities. She serves on the Child Dignity Alliance Board and its working group on the Multi-Faith Coalition to Protect Children in the Digital World.

In 2024, Rabbi Gerson co-founded the Global Advocacy Hub for Children and Families and serves on the UNHCR Multi-Religious Council of Leaders, advancing interfaith collaboration to safeguard vulnerable and displaced children. She is also the Country Coordinator for the Global Network of Religions for Children–USA.

She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Essex (UK), where her research explores the social construction of childhood and family within international children's rights discourse, emphasizing children's dignity and rights.

Locally, Rabbi Gerson serves as a clergy liaison to the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau.
